Saalex has decades of proven expertise in Test Range Operations and Management, delivering full-spectrum support for Department of Defense (DoD) test and evaluation environments. Our teams provide critical services such as range communications, resource planning and scheduling, and instrumentation support, including radar, infrared, and electro-optics systems. We manage and support the entire test lifecycle from planning and execution to data collection, analysis, and reporting. Saalex has supported key national ranges under contracts such as the JTECH-II , demonstrating our reliability in mission-critical environments.
Joint Range
Technical Services
Saalex’s Joint Range Technical Services (J-TECH) contract covers day-to-day operation and maintenance support (O&MS) of the Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Ranges of the Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD). This support encompasses Saalex as a participant in a contractor-government team, with the focus to provide the required range services to test and evaluation (T&E) and training customers.
The specific requirements focus on ensuring the availability of range systems for test operations and the real-time support of these operations. These requirements include preparation of land targets and target areas, O&M of range instrumentation/communication systems, O&M of remote sites and power generation, range scheduling and billing, meteorology, operational support and stand-by maintenance, and post-operation analysis of test data.

Contract II
Saalex is a subcontractor on the ROC II contract to KBRWyle and provided range operations support for National Aeronautical Space Administration (NASA), Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), Wallops Island, VA.

Machine Shop Maintenance Support Services
Saalex is currently providing maintenance support services to the Applied Manufacturing Technology Division (AMTD) at China Lake, CA and Point Mugu, CA under its joint venture, Trilex Solutions. The ATMD is one of the largest machine shops in the nation.
Support includes:
- Maintenance, repair and rebuilding of machinery
- Inventory control
- Relocation of equipment
- Transportation of material or equipment
- Custom packaging of AMTD-manufactured materials
- Installation of Government-owned machine tools and related equipment
Test Operations Support Services (TOSS) at
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division
Saalex provided technical services related to logistics, test support, and test operations to the Expeditionary Systems Evaluation Division (ESED), Range Systems Engineering Department (RS40), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Corona Division, Detachment Fallbrook. These services were in support of a wide variety of systems, which include ESED’s main focus areas such as Munitions, Weapons, Sensors and Communications, Mobility Platforms, and Systems Integration utilized by the Expeditionary and Special Warfare community.
